NAZMI PEYMAN, M.D.
Founder
Dr. Nazmi Peyman has over two decades of experience in clinical and Interventional pain management and Anesthesiology. His main focus is on treating neck and back pain using spinal injection techniques, radiofrequency ablation, and electrical neuromodulation. He is affiliated with numerous professional organizations, including the Spine Intervention Society and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
He currently serves as the Medical Director of Richmond Spine Interventions and Pain Center where he has practiced for 20+ years. Dr. Peyman completed his training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Peyman is also the founder of Synerfuse. Synerfuse is a medical device company that is presently in the process of starting a proof of concept study.
EDMOND ZAHEDI, PH.D.
Co-Founder
Dr. Edmond Zahedi has over two decades of experience in medical instrumentation and biological signal processing. He has been a faculty member at the following institutions of higher learning: Sharif University of Technology (SUT), National University of Malaysia, and British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and a Visiting Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Dr. Zahedi was involved with a broad range of projects related to rehabilitation devices such as such as the myoelectric prosthesis, as well as medical instruments such as ultrasound imaging and pulse-oximetry, phantom modeling of nerve stimulation and non-invasive bio-optical system for estimation of the vascular risk.
With significant industrial experience in transforming laboratory prototypes engineering prototypes, Dr. Zahedi has offered his scientific/technical consultancy through SwifTek Consulting, Inc., a company that he founded in British Columbia in 2017.
Dr. Zahedi has co-authored 36 peer-reviewed journal publications, 127 peer-reviewed international conference articles, is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a Professional Engineer (British Columbia - Canada).
